I know you’ve been waiting to hear what we have going on for our Youth this summer…and boy is there a lot!

First things first, we are splitting CORE (our Youth Group meetings) into 2 sessions for the summer, which are as follows:
CORE56 (5th & 6th graders): Wednesdays from 5:30 – 7pm on June 26th, July 10th and 24th, and August 21st
CORE712 (7th – 12th graders): Wednesdays from 7:30 – 9pm on June 26th, July 10th and 24th, and August 21st

Next, we are holding a book study for all High School and College Youth on the book Crash the Chatterbox by Steven Furtick. This study happens from 6 – 8pm on these Mondays: June 24th, July 8th and 22nd, and August 19th. The book and supplement materials cost $14. Also, we have some fun events that are going on during the summer:
On June 28th from 3 – 6pm, we are hosting a Laser Tag Night for all youth that are interested. There’s no cost to join us. Bring a friend, a smile, and fun attitude as we play through some fun and interesting games.
On August 2nd from 3 – 6pm, we are hosting a Messy Game Night for all 5th – 8th grade youth. This is a fun night to just get messy, play games, and have fun! We just ask that you bring clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty or a clothes to change into afterwards. We will have some cleaning stations for people!
On August 23rd from 6 – 10pm, we will have an End-of-Summer Bash to close out the summer before the youth have to go back to that dreaded place called school (DUN DUN DUN!!!) We will have pizza, all kinds of games, music, and a bunch of fun!

Lastly, we will have a fundraiser and be a part of a wonderful outreach event:
On July 27th from 9am – 4pm, we will be selling popcorn at our Yard Sale. We will have a free-will offering collection for the popcorn, which will raise money for future Youth functions and improvements.
On August 15th from 6 – 8pm, we will be at Butterfly Park partaking in the Fairy Tale Trail. We will be hiding some sneaky rocks which you can turn into prizes, as well as having a hula hoop contest.

We’re a little busy this summer! I’ve been excited to announce this schedule for a while now and am glad to be a part of an amazing Youth group that does amazing things ALL THE TIME!
