First time guests & returning guests, we welcome you!
“There are no strangers among us, only friends we have not yet met.”
Welcome, we are glad you are interested in visiting Clio Bethany UMC. All are warmly invited to come and worship with us and experience God’s grace through our time together.
Bethany UMC is a filling station for LIFE! Our goal is to motivate and equip all people to:
- Accept Jesus as the Son of God and choose Him as their personal savior.
- Engage in a lifelong relationship with Jesus.
- Use all means to share the love of God with others.
What to Expect:
When you arrive at Clio Bethany UMC on Sunday morning, you’ll likely park in the large lot in the back of the building. If you have mobility issues, you’ll find handicapped spaces closer to the sanctuary right near the portico before you go around the back of the building. When entering from the back of the building, follow the hallway around to the gathering area where you’ll hear the laughter and voices!
You’ll find most people in our gathering area outside the sanctuary. You will be greeted and given an announcement sheet to take with you. Check out our rotational book library there as well. You can take a book and leave a book.
You are welcome to wear your jeans and T-shirts and come as you are! You’ll see most people dressed casually and some wearing suits and dresses.
Our worship incorporates both traditional and contemporary music depending on the message and the mood. During the first hymn, we collect prayer cards from the congregation. When you take your seat, if you have a prayer request, you can fill out a card from your pew. Make sure to mark if you want it shared publicly or only with the pastor, we want to protect your privacy!
We pass an offering plate during worship, but you will not be pressured to give.
We frequently have cookies and punch during Fellowship Hour either before or after worship or sometimes both! We’d love to share a cookie with you!
We celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of the Month and welcome ALL to come to HIS table. You do not need to be a member of our church or any church to receive God’s grace and mercy that is offered through Holy Communion.
Feel free to poke around and learn more about the congregation and ministry programs, but below are the basics.
