How to connect with the food pantry:
You can reach out to our church office at 810-686-5151 Mon – Thursday from 9am to 2pm. We take your information and then schedule you for our next available pickup day. Groceries are given by appointment only. Our service days are Monday and Wednesday of each week. All you need to do is call the church office during office hours to set up your appointment. We just ask a few questions so we can cater to your specific needs.
Who is helped by our food pantry?
Food insecurity is a big issue in our community and your food pantry donations really help! We are now serving people who live in the following zip codes; 48420, 48458, 48457, 48463,48415. We have served an average of 19 smaller families (1-4 people) and 6 larger families (5-8) per month since the beginning of the year (2024). We have three emergency food boxes prepared to share with those with an immediate need.
Where does the food come from?
We source the food from our pantry from private donations from members of our church and community. We also offer our thanks and appreciation to our friends at West Vienna UMC who give generously to food pantry as well as those at several other area churches. We also source food from the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan using funds donated by our members and community. We now also partner with Aldi’s and Dollar General. Thank you to all who make the food pantry possible for our community.
How Can I Donate Food?
We are so grateful for all of your food donations, however, please DO NOT leave your food items outside. We have to throw a lot of it away because animals and heat get to it and make it unsafe to share. There is a box inside the office wing door for your donations and you may drop off your items any time the office is open (M-Th 9am to 2pm) or on Sunday when the church is open.
