We want the Fall Festival to be stress free and tons of fun! We’ve compiled a list of frequently asked questions here. If you have additional questions, feel free to leave a comment and we’ll answer for all to see. Should the kids wear costumes?
No, let them save their costumes for their school parties and for Halloween night. They’ll be more comfortable without their costume at the Fall Festival.
Is this event in addition to or instead of your usual Wednesday night ministry, Wednesday Night Live?
This special event is being held instead of our typical Wednesday night ministry. If you regularly attend Wednesday Night Live, Thank you! and this would be a great opportunity to bring a friend. We have extra special activities planned.
My child has never been to Bethany UMC before. Do I have to leave my child or can I stay with them?
We truly value the trust that parents put in us to take care of their kids. However, we encourage you to stay with your child for the Fall Festival. This event particularly is going to be great fun for the entire family; parents and kids alike. However, if your child wants to have this experience on their own, we have staff and members on hand with proper training to care for the children.
If you enjoy the experience at the festival, you might consider coming back for Wednesday Night Live and letting your child participate in some of the activities there with other kids while you attend an adult Bible study, help in the kitchen, or even enjoy grocery shopping or a hobby or something without kids for an afternoon. 🙂
Will a meal be served or should my child have dinner before the Fall Festival?
We will be serving dinner, hot dogs and some fixin’s. We welcome your whole family to come and join us for dinner and for this event. We serve a family meal every Wednesday night during Wednesday Night Live. If you are interested in helping to prepare the meal while the kids’ activities are taking place, we also encourage that. If you have any special needs or allergies we should be aware of, please note them on the registration form.
I’ve never been to Bethany UMC before. Where do I go when I get there?
Update – Due to weather, we are definitely having the Fall Festival indoors. Please, come in the main doors of the church and we’ll be gathering in the Fellowship Hall (aka roller skating rink). That room is the large room in the center of our building.
