We are in need of some food items for our LOVE pantry. We currently need fruit, rice, saltines, pudding, jello and syrup. Non-Perishable food donations are accepted at Bethany UMC anytime that the church is open. If you are in need of food assistance, please contact our church office at 810-686-5151. Your donations to meet the needs in our community are appreciated!
Pop Tab Missions – from Karen Nichols On behalf of a family member, Den and I collect the aluminum tabs from the tops of cans. She and her husband take hundreds of pounds of these tabs for recycle and the monies earned go to the the Ronald McDonald House in Ann Arbor. This money is used to pay for families to have a place to stay while family members are being treated there. We would appreciate our church family helping us with this project and leaving tabs in the blue container on the coat rack near the Sunday School rooms. A note from one of our sister-in-law’s Christmas letters outlines some of her successes. Her first grandchild was treated at Children’s Hospital so this is an ongoing focus for her and her family. She even picks up tabs from the ground wherever she goes! Thank you, Karen and Den Nichols.
Thank you to those who contributed to our food pantry. Listed below is the number of those we helped. In October, we helped 9 families (total of 32 people) In November, 6 families (18 people total) In December, we helped 6 families (23 people) There are so many people in the Clio area who need the food. Thanks to West Vienna United Methodist Church, Advance Auto Parts of Clio, and our congregation, we are able to supply their needs. Our pantry has plenty of food and we appreciate all you have done. Update from: Janet Robertson If you or someone you know is in need of food assistance, please reach out to our church office. The food pantry is here as a community service and we stand ready to serve the needs of our neighbors and friends.
Clio Community Services greatly appreciated the donations Bethany United Methodist Church gave them this year. As a result, 147 families and seniors had a good Christmas. One hundred twenty five Christmas wishes came true through our angel tree. Over $1,000.00 was given from our soup and salad luncheon and the individual donations. Bethany UMC is the single largest supporter of this great community project. Bethany again proves what a loving, caring and giving church that we are. If you want to get involved in Missions, call the church office, come to a Missions meeting or reach out through email to firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are in need of assistance, please reach out to our church office.
