Welcome to God’s Wonder Lab! This VBS is about learning for Jesus does the impossible! Our key verse we will look at all week is Psalm 98:1 which says: “Sing to the Lord a new song because he has done miracles.”
Over our 4-day VBS (August 8th – 11th), we will look at four different miracles Jesus did during his ministry on Earth!
On Monday, August 8th, we are going to look at Jesus’s First Miracle in John 2:1-12 when Jesus turned water into wine!
On Wednesday, August 10th, we are going to look at Jesus Appearing to His Followers in Luke 24:36-49. This is after Jesus was crucified and had died.
On Tuesday, August 9th, we are going to look at Jesus Walking on Water in Matthew 14:22-23.
On Thursday, August 11th, we are going to look at the story of Jesus Sending Paul in Acts 9:1-19 when a guy named Paul became the biggest fan of Jesus and shared him with the world.
Through music, science experiments, storytelling excitement, gameplay action, creative crafts, scrumptious snacks, and more, we will dig deep into how Jesus could have done these miracles!
We will also be doing a mission project during this time! We are creating Personal Dignity Kits (or PDKs) for people in-need in our community. These PDKs will include a variety of hygiene products that don’t get covered with Bridge Cards or aren’t typically handed out through various agencies. We will be doing a collection all through July and August. See the Mission Project page for more details about the items we are collecting.
We will be packing these kits together on September 7th and distributing them in Clio Park on September 21st and will let you know as soon as the times are set.
On the last day of VBS – August 11th, we will hold a Celebration meal at 5:30pm before the start of our programming for all who would like to attend.
We will also be doing a VBS Celebration Sunday during our Church Service on August 14th at 11:15am. You are welcome to join us as we reflect on what VBS was like, look back on the memories we made, and acknowledge the wonderful help we had during this time.
The link to registration is HERE where you can go and register early if you’d like. You will be able to register before VBS any of the four days you plan on attending.
If you have any questions, please contact Marc Middleton and he will gladly answer them for you!
