Hello Virtual and Real Life Friends!

This is your webmaster, Elizabeth Whiting, checking in.  I’ve been operating this website for a couple of years now.  Thank you to everyone who provides content for the website and who prays for this outreach and who is involved in all of the things we write about, talk about and share here on the site.

I’ve been operating the site with help and direction from the pastor and staff, on my own.  It can be demanding at times to keep content flowing.  It can also be incredibly rewarding to put out a post about our church and see how far it can spread.  It’s time to find some friends and teammates to share these burdens and joys with.

There is an incredible opportunity for anyone from our congregation who is interested in web ministry, web design, social media, digital marketing and welcoming ministries to hone some new skills and use your talents to help spread the word about Bethany UMC.  If you are interested in getting involved with our online ministry efforts, I’m interested in talking with you!  I am willing to work alongside and train anyone from the congregation who has an interest in this area of ministry.  My background is in web technology and ecommerce, but I’ve found the learning experience of the ministry side of this effort incredibly fulfilling. God has stretched me in new ways through this work.
