CORE & Wednesday Night Live are underway and going well. CORE is an after school program designed for 5th through 12th graders. They meet with Marc at 2:45 pm on Wednesdays. There is time for homework and fellowship and Marc also leads a devotional. After CORE, Wednesday Night Live begins with a snack at 4:30. Then, at 5:00pm there are classes for ALL ages, from kindergarten through adults. The young people have a choice of classes that are offered and Pastor LuAnn leads an adult Bible Study at 5pm in the lounge. Aftewards everyone comes together in the Fellowship Hall at 6pm for a community dinner. Come for classes, stay for dinner, or pick and choose what you are able to participate in.
In addition, both youth and Children’s ministry are continuing Sunday School lessons on Sunday mornings at 9am. Marc leads 5th – 12th grades and Amy teaches and does crafts with Preschool through 4th graders. Some kids in the 3rd through 6th grade range opt to stay in Amy’s children’s class. We are really easy going about this and want your child to feel comfortable. See Amy or Marc with any questions or special needs.
Come & Roller Skate! Skating has started & you and your children are invited! It’s just a buck per skater and family can stay and watch. No extra charges for skates, we have plenty available in all sizes. This is a really fun time. Hope to see you right here at the church roller skating rink (aka Fellowship Hall) on Tuesdays at 6:30pm. Everyone in the community is welcome.
One of our major Youth Missions activities is in full swing this month. We’ve been collecting donations all year for our Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes. The shoe box packing party is on November 11th starting with pizza at 5pm and then the packing starts. Come & share in the fun of giving!
There is a lot happening with the Youth & Children’s ministry. See Amy or Marc or inquire at the church office for ways that you can get involved!
Also, a BIG Thank you to all who made the Fall Festival a huge success. Thanks for the volunteers and donors as well as those who came to spend the day here. We had about 8 games for treats, a craft station with 2 different crafts, cookie decorating, lots of food, a photo station and even a barrel train ride! Here’s a few photos from the event. We were able to host about 70 kids along with their parents and families for the day. This is going to become an annual event and we hope that you and your family will come next year!
