The waves have died down and the surf shack is closed. We had to put away the beach balls, sunglasses, and surfboards. The Craft Hut, Discovery Dunes and the Story Deck have closed for the season. However, the knowledge of God’s Amazing Love will never leave all who attended Vacation Bible School. The kids learned about the nature of God through our daily Wave Words: God Loves, God Calms, and God Sends. Now, all who participated are sent out into the world filled with God’s Love to share God’s Love with the world. They are equipped with amazing Pop Up Verses they learned each day.
God Loves
“This is my son, whom I dearly love. I find happiness in Him.” Matthew 3:17
God Calms
“The God of Peace will be with you.” Philippians 4:9
God Sends
“Then I heard the Lord’s voice saying, ‘Whom should I send, and who will go for us?’ I said, ‘I’m here; send me.’” Isaiah 6:8
We sang songs, learned Bible stories, made crafts, participated in a mission project, won prizes, did science projects, played games, enjoyed fun snacks, prayed, laughed, met new friends, and got know God a little better. This week was so fun! We hope you will consider joining us in some of our other adventures soon!
What’s next?
Sunday School – Bethany UMC has great classes for students of all ages from preschool through adults. Sunday mornings at 9am.
CORE – This is our youth group led by Marc Middleton.It is designed for students in the 5th thru 12th grade. They are meeting during the summer and will set regular meeting times during the school year as well.
Coming up!
Wednesday Night Live – All ages are welcome, we also serve a community dinner. Starts October 5th
Fall Festival – Fun & games galore. October 22nd.
